Ingredients:
2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. allspice
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. honey
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream

Directions:
Resift flour four times with salt, baking soda, cloves, allspice, and cinnamon. Remove lumps from brown sugar, cream together with shortening, then beat in honey. Add eggs one at a time and beat until smooth and fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream, beating until smooth after each addition. Grease muffin pan or line with paper liners, and fill each 1/2 full and bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Let cool and frost.
