Ingredients:

1/2 c. butter, softened

1 c. sugar

2/3 c. honey

3 egg yolks, well beaten

2 c. cake flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1/3 c. cocoa powder

1/2 c. milk

3 egg whites

Directions:

Combine butter and 1/2 c. sugar, cream thoroughly, and add honey and egg yolks. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder, then add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat egg whites until stiff and gradually add 1/2 c. sugar, then fold into batter. Pour into two layer pans and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting.
