Ingredients:
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
2 c. maple or confectioners suga

Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Shape into 1 in. balls. Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes. Roll in maple sugar or confectioners sugar while still hot.
