Ingredients:

1/3 c. vegetable oil

1/4 c. apple cider vinegar

1/4 c. maple syrup

1 Tbs. Dijon mustard

1/8 tsp. lemon zest, finely grated

1/2 tsp. minced fresh or dried basil

salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions:

Whisk together all the ingredients in a small bowl. Flavor can be adjusted by adding a little more maple syrup or vinegar if needed.

 

Tip: For a creamy version of the lemon and basil salad dressing, prepare the dressing as above and whisk in 1/2 to 3/4 c. sour cream.
