Ingredients:
1 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. water
1 12 oz. bag of walnuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Combine sugar and water and boil until they reach 240° (they will form a soft ball). Add almond extract. Cool until lukewarm, then beat vigorously until creamy and firm. Kneed on cold, smooth surface. Form into small balls and press walnuts into the middle of each. Cool and serve.
